SEAN O'BOYLE - Manager - Run Blocks

Sean joined the Fernvale team in March 2017. He is the manager of our run blocks and lives at Fernvale with his wife Nicole, and two daughters Amelia and Hollie.
 
Sean comes from a farming family in Eastern Southland and after leaving John McGlashan College in Dunedin he spent 3 years at Lincoln university, gaining a BCom Ag. His farming career prior to being employed at Fernvale has included Hill Manager at Mt Linton for 3 years under Ceri Lewis, managing a property in Eastern Southland for 3 years, and Manager at Clutha Downs, Beaumont for 2 ½ years for the Peters family.
 
Sean really enjoys the hill country and likes working with dogs and stock on his horses. He does not particularly enjoy trying to travel through the snow to the run blocks in the winter. Even in the summer, this can be a challenge with rogue snow falls!
 
Sean’s interests include family, dog trialling and fishing.
