ANGUS BARR - Manager - Norman Block, Ettrick

Angus started working at Fernvale in October 2016. He is our Manager of the Norman Block at Ettrick. He lives in the main house on the Norman Block with his wife Tara.

Angus has lived and worked in the farming sector for most of his life. He started his farming career at Stonehenge Merinos in the Maniototo, and has also spent 2 years in Tasmania as the Sheep and Cropping Manager for a property in that region. Angus has gained Diplomas in both Agriculture and Farm Management through Lincoln and has Level 3 papers towards the National Certificate in Agriculture.

Angus has an interest in genetics and likes to be involved in stud mating, stud culling and ram selling time.

It is really hard to get Angus away from the farm as he is a very focused individual.
